Fernanda Vasconcelos
Fernanda founded Nolita in 2019.
With an MBA (Porto Business School) and a Digital Marketing course (General Assembly, London), her career has taken many twists and turns. She worked for renowned companies (namely in the e-commerce team of the main Portuguese retailer), was Marketing Director of a group of 7 digital companies, and when she felt she wasn't challenging herself enough, she risked everything and dedicated herself full time to a dream: to bring together two of her passions... healthy food and the digital world.
In 2020, after the launch of Nolita, Fernanda was one of the 10 Portuguese women selected to participate in the first edition of EWA - Empowering Women in Agrifood, launched by EIT Food and managed in Portugal by BGI - Building Global Innovators.
In this program, she had the opportunity to choose her mentor, Olga Matias, at the time responsible for innovation in the Mendes Gonçalves group. Olga was an inspiration and precious help in creating the new range of Nolita products launched in 2021, suggesting very interesting new ingredients, such as acorns, lupins, Portuguese fruits.
During the summer of 2022, new innovative products have been launched. Nolita had then a total of 18 different products.
To improve her know-how in nutrition, Fernanda decided to start a Nutrition Science course at Stanford Medicine University, that was concluded in 2022.
At this moment, the range of products has 28 SKUs, and already exports to several EU countries, but Fernanda dreams of taking this Portuguese brand to other continents with the mission of helping people reduce their sugar consumption in delicious ways.
